Creekview Farms, Inc.

2110 S. Clark Rd.

Markle, IN

Creekview Farms was incorporated in 1982 by Ralph E. Mautz (1928-2003) and Marjorie (Wilburn) Mautz; Robert E. Mautz and wife, Linda. The farm had evolved as an outgrowth of the labor of Oscar Henry Mautz (1900-1984), who was a farmer and cattle showman on a railroad show circuit. He showed shorthorn cattle all over the United States as a young man. Marjorie’s parents, Glen I. And Eva (Burnau) Wilburn and their grandparents farmed in neighboring counties as well.

Robert and his oldest daughter Kim, along with her husband Robbie Raab, manage and work the farm. Now great-great grandmother, Marjorie, and the children of Kim and Robbie also work (and play) on a daily basis, gathering eggs, feeding pigs, grooming, breeding and showing cattle. Back up support is always given from other various family members and friends living close by. A special thanks goes out to all of them!

The creek, from which Creekview is derived, is Rock Creek of Huntington County and runs only a stones-throw away from the original family home. Many a Mautz Child  and grandchild have been known to chase crawdads and turtles, wading through the rippling water and slippery rock-lined bottom. Some have even hid back there, pretending not to hear, when called for chores!
